Governor Branstad's EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER SEVENTY-FOUR declared that science, technology, engineering and mathematics education should be strengthened as part of providing a world-class education, encouraging innovation and enhancing economic development to focus and promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in Iowa.

IOWA STEM "Heat Map"

This document identifies existing STEM education projects/program. An important "take-away" is that there is a plethora of activity going on across the State. The question is how are these initiatives shared, connected, coordinated and evaluated? The next step is to evaluate success, connect to business and advance manufacturing, and tell the story. We need to leverage and promote what we have in place.
